Note: It is the Japanese which is provided in the artbook, not the Latin.

The inclusion of these lyrics on the page featuring the cutscene The Price of Power suggests that the track that plays might have originally had more vocals, but was cut short. It’s possible that these lyrics might be in Praise This Despair! as well, but unfortunately without the Latin, it’s difficult to tell.

Desire! (Power that won’t abandon)

Desire! (Power that is absolute)

More power (Power that surrenders the life of another)

It is for the day that he may return to his other*

If he is to conquer with me**

* Note: The second to last line uses “彼の他” (lit. his other), which could be interpreted as referring to Rinea. The verb can also be interpreted as “restores.”

** Note: The last line uses “私とともに” (lit. together with me (neutral)), which sounds too soft to be from Duma’s perspective (in Lord of a Dead Empire, for example, the pronouns used are intentionally those of a monarch speaking so that it sounds like it’s sung by Rudolf). An alternative for the last two lines might be “For the sake of one day returning to what once was / That he may rule together with me” (Rinea’s perspective)
